The Story of Lil Joe

Down in the Irish Channel, in a shotgun house
around the corner from Parasol’s, lived a little
boy named Joe. Every year, after the
jubilation of Mardi Gras and the penitence of
Lent were past, when cool late spring breezes
turned to hot, muggy stillness, Lil’ Joe, as he
was known, grew more and more excited.  To
him, the hot days of summer meant crawfish
boils, festivals, and best of all, snowballs.  He
saw how snowballs made even the most
sweltering weather seem cool and invigorating.
So, he decided that his life’s mission would be
to bring flavorful, ice-cold snowballs to the
people of New Orleans.  With a wide range of
flavors to satisfy every palate, Lil’ Joe and his
trusty helpers have opened a new shop on St.
Joseph Street, across from the New Orleans
Contemporary Arts Center.  Come and see us
for a cool, refreshing treat on a hot summer
day!
